Cruising Speed
I'm pained by how slow I move in crypto. Perhaps this slowness is relative to the speed at which crypto moves. Perhaps I'm fuckin flying, I don't know.
I remember when I first began learning about crypto. Bitcoin. I was convinced. I was a believer. I think I might have read half of "Mastering Bitcoin" just to really understand it. And yet I hadn't bought any bitcoin. I read chapters and posts about how to buy bitcoin, the best ways to get bitcoin, and yet I didn't act. Not until I began speaking to a friend and she said, just on a whim, why don't you buy some? And I was like, "Yeah, I could" with eyes wide open having seen a light.
I think the fact that so much of truly being in crypto is independent action that people tend to wait. We wait for someone else to go first, to lead, to reduce the action to something simple and lacking in responsibility. But of course waiting for these conditions means missing out completely in some cases, in others missing out on rewards and a chance to be among the builders.
It is important to be very clear on which areas of crypto you will act in. It is impossible to act in all, and if you try you will burn up. Don't research and explore "DAO's", get involved in a few specific DAO's and let these few organizations teach you what DAO's are. Any research you do needs to be matched by action and participation.
I've looked at my crypto activity and have decided my cruising speed is one action a day.
